Reasons For Hormone Imbalance Transcript:

Hello, I’m Dr. Ross VanAntwerp of TRT MD in Severna Park.

Today I’m gonna talk about sex hormones and their effect on your brain.

Everybody knows about how hormones tend to lower as life goes on

And that it has a negative effect on love life, and ability, and muscular activity, and so on.

But a lot of people don’t realize its effect on the brain.

Testosterone, when it falls,

in often times the 30’s and 40’s, as well as other hormones,

result in fatigue, brain fog, very common concern that people have.

Loss of initiative, difficulty getting going

and that is often directly associated with sex hormones.

People make the mistake of thinking that this is about age, and that this is just something that happens with age,

but in fact, this is a condition that can have a lot of different causes

It requires a lot of analysis, but it is often something that can be fixed.

So, these symptoms: brain fog,

fatigue, depression, depression’s a real common one.

These often respond to balancing hormones.

This is both men and women.

So, if you are having symptoms

and you’re passing these symptoms off as “I’m getting older, There’s nothing I can do about it”

odds are you’re not right about that.

Because often times, these things are treatable.

It just requires a really thorough medical history,

laboratory evaluation, and exam.

So, if you are having these symptoms, I would encourage you to get an evaluation.
