New Years is a time of new beginnings and many of us start the year resolving to improve our health behavior. For many men that means resolving to return to the gym or lose weight. All to often, these goals seem unobtainable. This may be because of falling testosterone levels (low T).
Starting in the twenties, men experience dropping testosterone levels. This has accelerated in westernized countries over the past 30 years. Multiple factors play a role in causing low T, but the good news is that normal balance can usually be restored with proper medical care.
The symptoms of low T include loss of energy and drive, decreased libido (sexual desire), weight gain, depressed mood, erectile disfunction, and the inability to maintain or build muscle mass.
Restoring testosterone levels often causes our patients to experience a new being of health with better performance at work, in the gym, and in the bedroom.
